Can I use bleach to kill mold?

Bleach will kill mold on the surface of an object, but it will not affect the airborne mold at all.

What should I do when I first discover water damage?

First, make sure that the water source has been stopped. Then call one of our on-call technicians. While you wait for help, block up all furniture and turn on any fans you have access to. If water is very deep, or pouring out of ceilings, it may be necessary to shut off the electrical breaker.

My deductible is too high. Can I clean up the water myself?

Many people make the mistake of cleaning up water damage by themselves. This is a costly mistake! Often times, they dry off only the visible water on carpets or other flooring, leaving water trapped inside the walls, under the cabinets, and behind the baseboard.
